Unexpected Charms in NY Subways.

Isn't this crazy? Look at the wood paneling and fine art! I was so confused, and then I was smiling ear to ear!

Such a welcomed bit of whimsy.

Love the door panels.

Brand New.

My mom just sent this back to me...little Lacey (right) when she was brand new to me and Timmy - just a puppy himself.

JAZZ HANDS! Broadway in Bryant Park

So after belting out Lady Antebellum's NEED YOU NOW for the 78th time while whipping up dinner, I finally turned the radio in the kitchen to something OTHER than the top 40's station that it has been set to since my roommates headed out of town for 5 months. Hallelujah! (note: I am NOT missing the ridiculously loud talk radio blaring in the house all the time.)

I landed on 106.7 - a nice switch to songs that are full of nostalgia and my younger (than 33) days. The DJ announced Broadway in Bryant Park! I made a mental note and promised myself that I'd take a long lunch on Thursday. Little did I realize that this event happened every Thursday for many Summer weeks!

Broadway shows send their stars to represent in Bryant Park for the masses to enjoy for free. My lineup included A Little Night Music (seen it!), Chicago (I've known the CD by heart for years!), Falling for Eve, and Rock of Ages.

My favorite - and the most BROADWAY of the performances: CHICAGO!

I'm still in awe of my surroundings. I looked around and thought, "How lucky am I that THIS is what I'm doing on my lunch break??"

Rock of Ages:

I love NYC.

The View - on the way to my Dentist

From Wall Street and Broadway (right outside my office door) I jump on the 4/5 express train to Union Square/14th Street. After a stair climb out of the subway, I turn North to walk up to 19th street and this sexy lady is always there to greet me. Miss Chrystler Building. She's sooooo New York.
